Let's start with the design of the restaurant. It was beautiful, nice colors, best wall art I've seen in a restaurant since Delmonicos here in Rochester NY, and even the bathroom wall art was looking really nice. Loved the colorful touches and attention to detail you guys gave in this restaurant so good job with that . The service, just like the first small location you guys had was the exact same. Service was phenomenal and also I loved the fact that DA Taste has a diverse staff representing them! The cashiers were nice as heck to us and even when they came to check on me and my lady they called us by name which I truly appreciated . And last but not least the food....like chileeeeee where do I even begin. To take an hour drive to come and get some tacos is worth every penny. I don't think y'all understand how in love I am with these tacos. For the last year me and my lady have come to Buffalo and y'all were either closed or just serving ramen, which I'm mad I didn't order because I wanted some of that too, but them tacos are literally everything. I had three tacos. First one was the Philly cheesesteak, not gonna lie, it's not my favorite but was still really good, second one was jerk chicken which like got damn that was phenomenal, and that honey garlic chicken with the Mac n cheese that right there....that taco right there...THATS MI ALL TIME FAVE ‼‼‼
The tacos here were great! I tried the birria, and they were so filling. I'm not a spicy eater, so I was a little sad that the consume sauce had a kick to it, so I didn't use it. My fiancé got the combo and really enjoyed his tacos. I loved the cool murals all over the walls. The server was nice, but it did take a little bit of wait to get our tacos, which was fine. We will definitely be back to try more!
My first time ordering via Grubhub. $31.00 The packaging was neat and functional Birria taco - this taco was full of well seasoned meat and cilantro, and comes with the appropriate consume for dipping. The Birria meat was spicy and flavorful, and paired well with the consume. Philly cheese taco - this was the disappointment of the tacos. There could have been more onions and peppers to enhance the flavor profile. Classic ground beef taco - this taco was overstuffed and the meat was adequately seasoned. There was a sauce added, which enhanced the flavor - though the taco could have used some sour cream to finish it off. Chips and queso - the chips were quite good - crispy and adequately salted. The Queso was really delicious; there just wasn't enough of it. Overall, my experience was good, and I would order again. I was adventurous in my quantity ordered, next time I will order just two tacos.
This is one of the most popular taco spots in Buffalo for good reason! I had only tried their tacos once before at a concert so I definitely had their new location on my list to get to as soon as I could. They opened up at noon and I got there just as they were opening the doors. There was already a line forming to get in. I can imagine a lot of people in Larkinville are coming here on their lunch breaks. I ordered the combo that came with two tacos, chips, queso, and a drink. Awesome combination and I loved the prices for it too. I didn't get the trendy birria taco this time. Instead, I opted for the big mac style taco and then just a standard taco as well. Everything was delicious and I washed it down with a loganberry. Talk about a Buffalo lunch for sure. The only warning I have is they are busy from open to close it seems so when you go, make sure you have the time to wait. They are pretty quick with orders but it can always take longer than expected. Especially with all the online orders they get too. Overall, the space is really cool, the tacos are delicious, and it all makes for a great lunch spot right in the cool little Larkinville strip.
Food is delish, prices are great, service is friendly (don't expect Instant gratification though, each order takes about 20 minutes to be prepared fresh), ambiance is cheerful, hip, relaxed- nice artistically painted wall murals & popular music playing
Never have I ever thought I would pay $7/$8 for a taco, but I'm going to do it every time with pride when I get a chance to come here. I've been here on 2 separate occasions, and every taco I've had was great. The burria tacos are a staple. I recommend beef over chicken. I've had the hot honey garlic chicken, brisket, shrimp po boy, barria (beef and chicken), and the Philly cheese steak. They were all awesome. I've never been to the other location, so I was excited to see what the hype was about. The line will always be long, but the wait will be worth it. I highly recommend ordering ahead even when doing pick up. Unless you have at least an extra 30 minutes to wait for food. This location has seating, so you can wait inside. There is no liquor/beer, but they do have soft drinks and water. There are 2 unisex bathrooms. They even offer ice cream. I can't wait to try their ramen because that burria consomme is something special. Treat yourself and take some time out....for the love of tacos!
Been intending to check out this place out for a while and finally got around to it yesterday for lunch. I tried their taco combo, which came with two tacos, a drink, and chips and queso. for my tacos I got the Nashville fried taco and the Stinger taco. Both were delicious and flavorful! I also got two additional tacos to try more of the traditional options, including the Birria taco and one called Dom's taco. This were good as well, but definitely didn't hit as hard as the bold flavors of the other two. The chips were supposed to come with a smoked queso, but that was missing from my order and since this was a pick up, I didn't realize it until I was home already. The chips themselves were fine though. Just used my own salsa with them. While the tacos were delicious, I can't say that I love the idea of spending 6 to 8 dollars on a taco, but for an occasional indulgent, you won't go wrong here for some fun and tasty options.
The tacos were tasty, the decor is cute... but the prices are high and the wait is long... I ordered the combo and they were out of chips so it was an added $3.00 charge because they only had pretzel bites to go along with it... $21.00 for two tacos, one can of soda and pretzel bites... it took 25 minutes for the order to be made. The Philly cheesesteak taco was good... I didn't think it was fantastic, but I ate it and enjoyed it... the outside tacos are fried, there are two layers and then the toppings were generous inside...cheesesteak filings were flavorful I also ordered the jerk chicken tacos and that was really good! It was a little spicy and a little sweet, there was chopped mango on it as well as other veggies. The chicken was tender and had a really nice amount of seasoning. The pretzel bites were just OK, as was the cheese dip that accompanied them. My friend ordered the Nashville got chicken taco and said it was amazing! She liked the amount of spice but said it wasn't so hot as to cause discomfort... she'll order it again. It was great!
